Prince William and Kate are set to return to the Royal Variety Performance for the first time since Princess Kate\u2019s cancer diagnosis and treatment in 2024. Kensington Palace announced on November 17 that the couple will be attending the black-tie extravaganza on November 19 at the Royal Albert Hall in London. The annual Royal Variety Performance, which raises money for the Royal Variety Charity, is one of the most glamorous nights on the royal family\u2019s social calendar and a staple of the royal family for decades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their absence from the 2023 show was indicative of a year in which health challenges and changes in the royal family\u2019s working patterns were on display. In 2024, the King attended the show alone while Queen Camilla recovered from pneumonia; Kate was also still in the process of recuperating from treatment and had been scaling back on most of her high-profile engagements. Kate\u2019s return to this year\u2019s Royal Variety Performance shows the family\u2019s working schedule returning to a new normal for the royal couple. More recently, they hosted the US for a visit in September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
